About: Shaohui

Shaohui is the rising star at Stephan Rauch Wedding Photo.

Shaohui originally studied mathematics and after graduation worked in a 9-5 job as a software engineer. He quickly realized that he had a higher creative calling and decided to quit his daytime job to become a photographer.

He took part in the Lehrgang Pressefotografie, a one year course for young photojournalists, which also happens to be one of the courses Stephan teaches at. Stephan immediately recognized Shaohui´s potential. Over an extensive period of Stephan´s mentoring Shaohui became a master wedding photographer and he now is the second photographer in the high-end Signature Series.

Besides shooting weddings Shaohui is also a full time staff member at Stephan Rauch Wedding Photo in charge of workflow management and managing the (humongous) image database.

Shaohui says "I love shooting weddings. It´s an incredible privilege not only to be part of this most important day but also to be trusted to capture it for eternity"
